Keith L. McClellan, JD, MBA
Keith McClellan has been in the technology commercialization and business start up field since 1991, when he earned an MBA from Penn State University with a finance emphasis. His graduate education includes a Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School in 1982 with an emphasis in commercial law. From 1983 to 1989, he worked as both in house and outside counsel for regional banks and commercial lenders in Nevada, where he worked on structuring complex financial transactions. He is an active member of the Nevada Bar.

From 1991 to 1994, he served as Manager of Business Development, a leading R&D company in active noise control and other acoustic based technologies, later purchased by Harmon Electronics. Since 1995, he has been consulting to domestic and international early stage technology companies across a diverse technology base, such as condition based monitoring, wireless broadband data transmission, hardware based computer security, materials joining and biological/chemical sensors. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer for a spin out from the Idaho National Laboratory, General Counsel for an Australian based security management software company and Executive Vice President for an Australian company selling products in the civil and military aerospace markets. He is currently advising a publically traded company which sells products in international security markets on financial and legal matters and is working a roll up project in the firearms industry.

McClellan serves or has served on numerous for profit and not for profit Boards and is experienced in corporate governance matters. His skills also include financial modeling, hands on business development, preparing business and marketing plans and structuring and negotiating a wide range of business transactions from mergers and acquisitions to intellectual property transfers. His non business interests include alpine and nordic skiing, inline speed skating, roller skiing, sailing and cooking.
